Zuar Portal v1.14: Enhanced Asset Management, Navigation & More
Zuar Portal v1.14 introduces new features, including enhanced asset management, a flexible navigation builder, improved filter persistency settings, and more.

About the Update
We are excited to announce the newest release of Zuar Portal: Version 1.14. This new release incorporates updates designed to improve asset management, navigation, filtering, and more.
These enhancements give organizations more flexibility in structuring their analytics environments while simplifying user access and control.
Asset Manager
The new Asset Manager allows users to upload and manage assets directly within the Portal, such as images, videos, documents, etc. Assets can be stored locally or in Amazon S3.
Granular access control allows for folders or specific assets to be restricted to specific user groups, ensuring only authorized users have access. This ensures that sensitive content remains protected while still allowing flexibility for different user roles and permissions.
Uploaded assets can be integrated with Blocks and Pages to enhance Portal content and improve the user experience. This allows for greater customization, enabling users to incorporate images, documents, and other resources seamlessly into their workflows.
Enhanced Navigation Menu Block
In this latest update, a new block type has been created for navigation menus—allowing users to create structured, intuitive menus tailored to their needs. With this new functionality, users can manually or automatically add links to other pages within the Portal navigation menu or to Tableau views.
The Navigation Builder now supports:
- Nested menus for organizing content hierarchically.
- Layout customization and a built-in search bar for improved usability.
- Collapsible menu toggles to streamline navigation and save space.
Filter Persistency Settings
A more unified filter editing experience gives users better control over how filters persist across the Portal. Filters now follow users from page to page, ensuring a seamless data exploration experience.
Persistency settings include:
- Site-level : Filters remain applied across the entire Portal.
- Page-level : Filters apply only to a specific page.
- Session-based: Filters reset when the session ends.
- Never persist filters: Filters reset upon page refresh.
SCIM API
Zuar Portal now supports the SCIM (System for Cross-domain Identity Management) API, a standard protocol for user and group management within SAML-based authentication environments.
This update enables user and group synchronization from a customer’s identity provider directly into Zuar Portal.
